We are producing over 300 million tons of plastic every year, 50% of which is for single-use purposes – utilized for just a few moments, but on the planet for at least several hundred years. More than 8 million tons of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year. There may now be around 5.25 trillion macro and microplastic pieces floating in the open ocean. The damage we are doing to marine life and our ecosystem is becoming irreparable. Our actions over the 10 years will determine the state of the ocean for the next 10,000 years to come. Here are a few of our favorite items that we love to do our part to reduce our single-use plastic items.

Recent studies have found that sunscreen chemicals in many popular products actually hurt corals. The main chemical culprits are oxybenzone and octinoxate, which convert sunburn-causing UV rays into harmless heat on human skin. ... When beachgoers wearing sunscreen go swimming, they carry these chemicals into the ocean. 14,000 tons of sunscreen are thought to wash into the oceans each year, and about 80 percent of corals in the Caribbean have been lost in the last 50 years due to pollution, coastal development, and warming waters. Using Reef safe products like Stream2Sea, keep your skin and our oceans. They have a whole line of other products like hand sanitizer, after sun lotion, lip balm, shampoo, conditioner and many more products.

Use this adorable mickey stroller hook to hang your bags off your stroller and give your back a rest.
Portable Phone Charger - Don't get stuck in the park with a dead phone! Be sure to get a portable charger to make sure your phone is handy and ready to snap all those magical moment memories.
Reusable straws - Disney has gotten rid of plastic straws, so if you like to use straws (better than paper ones), then check out these metal one with silicone tips that we use all the time.
