conservation through travel
At Travel Greene, we are advocates for conservation through travel, and we invite you to join us. Read on for ways you can sustain beautiful and wild places, while exploring and traveling the world.
Want to take a vacation and make a big difference at the same time? Consider conservation travel, where you combine your travel with an on site volunteer experience. We can match your preferred area with what you'd like to do and experience. Most of the trips we assist with are in Africa, while other areas around the world are also available. These trips are usually a minimum of 2 weeks, but we recommend 3-4 weeks to reap the full experience. You will be engaging in all kinds of activities including monitoring animal movements and recording locations, assisting with park maintenance, collecting field data to assist with future conservation efforts and more. Different types of trips include:
- Whale Shark Conservation
- Sea Turtle Conservation
- Big 5 Conservation (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Cape Buffalo)
- Rhino and Elephant Conservation
- Humpback Whale Research
- Large Carnivore Conservation

Conservation efforts make it possible for us to continue to enjoy the wonders of our oceans and the stunning wildlife in Africa. In fact, tourism is a huge revenue generating source for many groups focused on sustaining and re-building wild spaces. A lot of the parks and reserves in Africa rely on tourism to fund their anti-poaching, habitat protection or other conservation efforts. So just by taking a trip to Africa, you are helping fund conservation. Interested in supporting conservation organizations while at home too? Below are a list of organizations that Travel Greene supports.
